Job Description

Designation: Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Reporting To: National Sales Manager

Job Location: Delhi Covering North and East India (Half India)

Travelling: 12-14 Days of Field work in a month

Job Summary:

As the Assistant General Manager , you will lead the Half India Sales Team in achieving short-term and long-term revenue and operational objectives. Your key responsibilities include driving category business potential through KOL development and engagement, fostering a high-performance culture, and effectively managing an integrated sales team across major towns in India, covering Trade and Key

Accounts. You will be responsible for handling a team size for approximately 25-30 People.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute country-specific sales plans aligned with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the sales team, including talent acquisition, team management, day-to-day operations, CRM, budgeting, forecasting, and goal setting.
  • Create and foster a culture of accountability and high performance within the sales organization, utilizing best-in-class performance management metrics.
  • Imbibe & Instil sense of purpose in all sales operations to ensure babies are positively impacted.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and corporate stakeholders to drive business objectives through development and execution of joint business plans and enhancing market access initiatives in medical institutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with leading accounts & internal medical team to establish clinical protocols, generate clinical evidence to develop claims that enhance brand marketing competitiveness.
  • Conduct regular sales and marketing reviews with the team to discuss and analyse performance in line with local, territory and customer objectives, strategies, and action plans.
  • Structuring of field force, deployment of field force, capability building in the field force, enhancing productivity, good understanding of entire sales force excellence process including Incentives structure, CRM and analytics of efforts Vs. Results.
  • Uphold high ethical standards personally and within the team, ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Foster strong synergies with cross functional teams like Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Digital teams to enhance overall business performance.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Prior experience as  Divisional Manager/ZSM Covered East and North India, and an MBA/PGDM is considered an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian Healthcare landscape, particularly the Infant Nutrition category, will be advantageous.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and management skills in a global matrix organization or leading Indian MNCs are essential.
  • Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving abilities, and agility to foster business growth.
  • Strong people management skills, coaching, and sales development expertise.
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite, particularly adept at handling PowerPoint and Excel.
